Our process
How domain acquisition and brokerage work
Domain acquisition is our primary service: research, owner outreach, negotiation, and Escrow.com closing for taken and off-market domains. Domain brokerage is a separate seller-side service. No upfront fees in either case.
Acquisition
How we help you acquire a taken or off-market domain
From first request to Escrow.com closing: owner research, confidential outreach, negotiation, and secure transfer.
- 1
Submit the domain you want
Tell us the domain name and budget, even if the name is taken, parked, or not listed for sale. No upfront fees or retainers.
- 2
Research & owner identification
We research ownership using methods beyond standard WHOIS, including corporate registry searches and historical DNS records. We assess feasibility before outreach.
- 3
Confidential outreach & negotiation
We contact the owner through verified channels with professional messaging. When needed, we provide confidential buyer representation and manage counter-offers on your behalf.
- 4
Agreement & Escrow.com transfer
Once terms are agreed, the deal closes through Escrow.com. Your funds and the domain transfer are protected until verification is complete.
Brokerage
Selling your domain through us
We find qualified buyers off-market, negotiate on your behalf, and close through Escrow.com. No listing fees and no upfront costs.
- 1
Submit your domain
Send us the domain you want to sell via our Sell a domain page. No upfront fees, no listing fee, no obligation. We review and get in touch to confirm details and next steps.
- 2
We find qualified buyers
We don't list your domain on public marketplaces unless you request it. We identify companies, startups, and investors whose brand strategy makes your domain a strategic fit, then reach out to decision-makers directly and confidentially. No public exposure. No lowball marketplace offers.
- 3
Negotiation & offer
When interest turns into an offer, we negotiate on your behalf. We keep you updated and only move forward when you're satisfied with the deal.
- 4
Sale closes through Escrow.com
The transaction completes securely through Escrow.com. The buyer funds escrow; once the domain is transferred and verified, funds are released to you. You pay our 20% commission when the domain is successfully sold.
What G.O.A.T. Standard Means in Practice
Most brokers send one email and wait. We use multi-channel research to find real owners, craft outreach that actually gets opened, and negotiate with the patience and leverage that only comes from experience.
GoatAcquisition - Greatest of All Time Acquisition and Brokerage means we don't stop at the first wall. We find the door. And if there's no door, we build one.
We only take on deals we genuinely believe we can close. If we can't see a path to a deal, we'll tell you upfront, before anyone wastes time.
